WHO and UNICEF - WASH in Health Care Facilities

The following information is being distributed on behalf of the World Health Organization and UNICEF

WHO and UNICEF have requested that we reach out to you as our valuable partners, committed to WASHinHCF (work on water, sanitation and hygiene (WASH) in health care facilities). We need your help to move from the World Health Assembly resolution that passed earlier this year to the necessary revolution that's needed in order to improve the safety and quality of health care for everyone.

We ask you to now:

-Promote and join a forthcoming webinar ‘From Resolution to Revolution – what we can all do to improve WASH in health care facilities’ on 26 Nov 14.30 CET. Share this link https://who-meeting.webex.com/who-meeting/j.php?MTID=m6fb1c98743d0b59322456ea6a8302b9a

with colleagues, a flier is posted here on the WASHinHCF web platform https://www.washinhcf.org/events/from-resolution-to-revolution-wash-in-hcfs-webinar/. Let’s get everyone listening to the practical steps that can be taken to achieve our targets, alongside country commitments which we are now tracking closely

-Join us in tweeting about WASHinHCF during World Antibiotic Awareness Week and on World Toilet Day – a social media pack and a suggested twitter schedule which you can use or adapt for your own promotions is here https://www.washinhcf.org/resource/world-antibiotic-awareness-week-and-world-toilet-day-social-media-pack/ – let’s make some noise about the importance of WASHinHCF during this week where the world will be watching and reading about all the steps necessary to address AMR.

-Promote the WASHinHCF commitments through the web page https://www.washinhcf.org/commitments/ – we will be reporting on how many have joined our movement by the end of 2019 so we need more people to join us to end the year on a high!

Thank you for your support. If you have any questions, please do contactMargaret Montgomery at washinhcf@who.int
