Ontario Shores Centre for Mental Health Sciences (Ontario Shores) is a public teaching hospital providing a range of specialized assessment and treatment services to those living with complex and serious mental illness. Ontario Shores strives for excellence, establishes high standards in the delivery of mental health care and supports an innovative culture of learning and growth. This presentation will explore the successes and challenges of delivering effective Infection Prevention and Control measures in a mental health facility.
PRESENTER
Anson Kendall MBA BSc is the Acting Coordinator of Infection Prevention Control at Ontario Shores Mental Health Sciences Centre. Prior to joining Ontario Shores, Mr. Kendall worked as the Manager of Infection Prevention and Control at both Markham Stouffville Hospital and at the University Health Network. Anson holds a Masters of Business Administration in Strategic Management and Marketing from the Schulich School of Business (York University) and a Bachelor of Science in Microbiology and Immunology from the University of Waterloo. Anson is interested in both Systems Thinking and Technology and their relevance in healthcare and more specifically in Infection Prevention and Control.
