As the membership of IPAC SWO increased in the late 2010s, so did the diversity of our chapter – clinical services, hospice, LTC, retirement homes – IPCs who had varying IPAC challenges that could not be answered by one best practice approach. It was impossible to provide sector-specific IPAC education to our growing membership. Therefore, our executive and education committee recognized this challenge. We acknowledged the importance of working with the presenters to ensure that education was broad enough to support varied healthcare sectors and offer the challenge that participants apply this education to their own settings. Feedback from education sessions, full day education events, and full day chapter workshops all contributed to this fulfillment of bringing broader IPAC education to a diverse IPAC membership.
The workshops continue to be a Chapter success!
