Bruyère Continuing Care in Ottawa, Ontario, is conducting a survey to gain an understanding of the prevailing practices for the identification of, prevention of and management of Extended Spectrum beta-Lactamase producing organisms in healthcare institutions across Canada. A clearer understanding of prevailing practices will allow revisitation of the institutions' policies and procedures and determine how they compare with other healthcare institutions across the country.
