The Canadian Nurses Association in collaboration with the International Council of Nurses (ICN) is are pleased to advise that the World Health Organization Commission on non-communicable diseases (NCDs) will be releasing its draft report for public consultation in the coming days and encourage all our nursing members to participate. We highly encourage you to contribute to this web-based public consultation which will be open from April 16 to 26, 2018. It is expected that a link for consultation will be posted on this website . ICN’s strategic partner, Nursing Now, has created a guide for the NCD Consultation. This can be found by following this link

In the two documents attached to the end of this story, you will find ICN’s letter of invitation and their recommendations to the Commission, which focuses solely on the nursing profession. By engaging in this consultation and supporting ICN’s recommendations, we have a unique opportunity to ensure the nursing profession plays an active role in the fight against NCDs. ICN will continue to put the latest information on the NCD Commission on their website and we encourage you to check this regularly. NNA Letter   HLCNCD Expert Consultation Letter
