In September 2020, the St. Francis Xavier, Department of Adult Education will launch a third cohort of its very popular M. Ed. (Curriculum) Adult Education and Health program. This is a part-time professional development program for individuals working across all aspects of health (e.g., health care, higher education, community, research, etc.). The 12 fully online courses are practice focused, and explore aspects of teaching and learning in health contexts using a balance of online classroom dialogue and opportunities for working independently offline.
A central organizing principle across all courses is a focus on health equity and critical social justice. The program can be completed via course-based, project based, or thesis-based routes.
