CSA Z314 Webinar May 2 and 14

The new 2018 edition of CSA Z314 – Canadian Medical Device Reprocessing, is a comprehensive document aimed at addressing the safe, effective, and reliable reprocessing of reusable medical devices at each phase of the reprocessing workflow. Developed with the expertise of healthcare professionals, CSA Z314-18 replaces the previous suite of medical device standards in the Z314 series. As a comprehensive standard, it is meant to provide benefits to managers and staff of any healthcare setting where medical device reprocessing is performed.

A two-part webinar is taking place to familiarize readers with the new comprehensive document: 
• Part 1 - May 2, 2019 (12 to 1:15 pm ET) covers Clause 4 General Requirement through Clause 11 Decontamination
• Part 2 - May 14, 2019 (12 to 1:15 pm ET) covers Clause 12 Endoscopes through to the Annexes.

Our presenters are:

Colleen Landers - Colleen is a Registered Nurse and a Medical Device Reprocessing Technician who has worked in healthcare since 1967 in Ontario in many areas of healthcare including OR, Endoscopy, OBS, Emergency, Purchasing, Laundry and Medical Device Reprocessing. Colleen has spoken on Medical Device Reprocessing at events across Canada and around the world. She is a member of the CSA technical committees on Medical Device Reprocessing and Perioperative. Her main goals in life are to “Make a Difference in Improving Health Care in Canada” and to work towards “Ensuring That All Patients Receive the Best Quality Care Possible”.

Tammy Bennardo CMDRT - Tammy is an MDRD Supervisor for the Sault Area Hospital. She is President of MDRAO and an active member of the CSA technical committee. She has a total of 22 years of health care experience 12 of which in MDR.
