Essentials in Infection Prevention and Control (Long Term Care Focused) Course

This course is presented in a hybrid format, consisting of 6 – 8 weeks of online learning followed by 2 days of in-person training. The course was created in response to Ontario regulations regarding training requirements for LTC-IPAC Leads. Although this regulatory requirement is specific to Ontario, the skills and knowledge gained from this course will be valuable for professionals in all provinces. The course provides an engaging and flexible learning experience. The modules include integrated audio narration, interactive learning checkpoints, and format designed with accessibility in mind. Students can reinforce knowledge using the provided study guide, which highlights key takeaways and reflection questions to support deeper understanding. Exercises conducted during the in-person sessions are designed to introduce practical applications of the course content. The course is designed to fit your schedule, and covers the essential IPAC principles. It is ideal for those entering the field or looking to strengthen their IPAC career.
To register, complete all information in the registration form below. Have your Social Insurance Number (SIN) at hand, and your completed Tuition Payment Form (download below) ready to upload. Tuition fee of $2499 CDN (tax exempt) is due and payable with your registration.

Course start date is September 20, 2026. The in-person sessions in Toronto take place November 7 & 8, 2026 at the Sandman Signature Toronto Airport Hotel, 55 Reading Court. Students are responsible for booking their accommodations and any travel costs. Meals and snacks will be provided during the in-person training. See Guestroom Accommodation instructions and rates below.
Deadline for registration is September 15, 2026 or until the course reaches capacity. Students will receive a Certificate of Completion at the end of the course.
