IPAC SWO President’s Welcome

On behalf of the Executive and I am thrilled to welcome you to the IPAC Southwestern Ontario (SWO)’s Chapter Website! My name is Shelby Ludington, and I have the honour to represent our chapter as the IPAC SWO President for 2025 and 2026.

As a chapter, we are proud to represent a diverse network of individuals working in a variety of healthcare settings, including hospitals, pre-hospital environments, long-term care, continuing care facilities, community care and health agencies, public health, government, and industry within our large region. IPAC SWO Chapter spans across eight counties, including Essex, Lambton, Chatham-Kent, Middlesex, Elgin, Oxford, Huron, Perth, Grey, and Bruce! Our mission is to support the ongoing education, professional development, and networking of IPAC practitioners throughout these areas.

Whether you’re a new member or a seasoned professional, we offer a wide range of opportunities to advance your knowledge and skills. Our chapter provides face-to-face meetings, webinars and educational workshops tailored to meet the dynamic needs of our members.

As infection prevention and control is critical in ensuring the safety and well-being of the communities we serve, we recognize the value of collaboration and shared expertise. Through the resources and events offered, IPAC SWO members will have the opportunity to:
